I've started writing my biography. I'm not famous. Or infamous. But I think my life has been interesting one; one that some folks might find interesting.

My name is Vickie. I was born at 4:34 a.m. on January 22, 1952, at St. Mary's Hospital in Knoxville Tennessee. My mother was young and alone. My father was in the Army, stationed in Germany during the Korean War. She was staying with her sister-in-law and her husband. A couple of days earlier, my mom thought she was having contractions. At the hospital, doctors determined she was experiencing Braxton Hicks contractions. So she remained in the hospital until the contractions were real. The medication they gave her made her crazy; trying to climb out of her hospital bed. She had to be restrained.

The birth was difficult. The doctor, Dr. John Smith, used forceps, leaving a bruise on my left arm which she thought was never going to go away. She still liked Dr. Smith. He delivered my two sisters and my brother.
